These are beautiful examples of a Victorian weave used by Suzanne. There are no known examples by the Victorian Hairwork Artists of chain wrapped around the spirals. A nylon cord runs through the center of the weave to give the bracelet strength. The magnified weaves shown below are about 1/4 inch in diameter. |
Two examples of a delicate arrangement of horsehairs that make up the spirals. In these examples there are four spirals.
Two 14k gold chains are wrapped around the weave inside the spiral groves to show more of the horse's hair. A 7-inch bracelet will have around 16 inches of gold chain.
